What kind of gift can I leave West Norfolk Befriending in my will?

There are 3 main types of gifts:

A residuary gift is a percentage of your estate that remains after gifts to your friends and families, payment of debts and administration expenses. This type of gift allows you to provide for your loved ones first and the value of this gift is dependent on the value of your estate.

A pecuniary gift is a specific amount of money you wish to donate. A pecuniary gift’s value fluctuates in line with inflation. This means that your gift could lose value over time and may end up being less than you intend.

A specific gift is a specific item you wish to leave, e.g. jewellery, artwork or furniture.

I already have a will, can I update it to leave a gift to West Norfolk Befriending?

Yes you can. If you have already made a will and wish to leave a legacy to us this can be done through a codicil form, which is an amendment to your will. Your solicitor will be able to advise you.

Please let us know you have included us in your will, so we can say thank you.

On behalf of the people we help and the community of West Norfolk thank you for your kind support.
